The purpose of the Tuscarawas District Youth Council is to bring more people to God in Christ and to bring unity in The Spirit to our district
We will accomplish this by:
Ø Working together to grow as servant leaders without competitive offices
Ø Including prayer, fun and fellowship as a major part of what we do
Ø Supporting the events and programs of local churches, camps, missions and groups
Ø Creating new events and opportunities for youth to grow in faith, hope and love
District Youth Council Structure The District Youth Council makes decisions through open discussion and consensus of youth and adult leaders present at each meeting or event. All youth and adult leaders from every church in our district are welcome to attend and to speak at every meeting or event. Meetings and events will be led by youth. The youth attending the meeting will assign leadership responsibilities for planned meetings or events as needed. Adult leaders will provide assistance with communications, structure, leadership development, transportation and financial support. If anyone present at a meeting or event feels a vote is needed, the leading of the Holy Spirit will be discerned by asking each church to designate two youth present at the meeting as voting representatives.
