2009 District Leadership Training

“IS YOUR CHURCH FLIP-FLOP FRIENDLY?”
“MINISTRY TO CHILDREN & YOUTH”

The District Leadership Training Event will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Dover First UMC.

Opening and closing worship will include:
- Children’s Choirs, Youth Choirs, Puppets, a Christian magician, and testimonies from district youth.

-Some workshops may have limited participation so early registration and selection of workshop is advised!

-Remember to bring your flip-flops for local mission centers

Welcome!

The Tuscarawas District of the East Ohio Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church was created in 2005.  Though young, we have a defined mission to encourage, serve and communicate with the local church leaders of our 83 congregations.  The Tuscarawas District is about the 83 local congregations.  The function of the local church, as defined in our church policy, is “to help people to accept and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to live their daily lives in light of their relationship with God.”

The Tuscarawas District is committed to its mission to assist local church leaders make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ.   Once again, our church policy defines the local church as the place that “provides the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs.”

This website is a tool to encourage, serve and communicate.  We hope that you will find it helpful.

The Tuscarawas District Mission is to encourage, serve and communicate with local church leaders as we make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Tuscarawas District is a group of prayerful, Spirit-filled, Christ-centered faith communities with leaders who provide vital worship and study opportunities, who promote diversity and inclusiveness, and who serve the needs of the world.
