Tuscarawas District United Methodist Women's Winter Retreat Spiritual Growth Study Leader: Rev. Paul White Director of Connectional Ministries for the East Ohio Conference, The United Methodist Church The Journey: Forgiveness, Restorative Justice and Reconciliation This study intertwines stories from the Bible and recent history to illustrate the redemptive power of forgiveness, the restorative power of God's justice and the Good News of reconciliation. If four or more members of your Unit attend, you can count this as completing Mission Today Criteria No. 6. October 28-29, 2011 East Ohio Conference UMW Annual Celebration At Churchill UMC, Youngstown, OH The speaker will be Jeanette Kraus, Women's Division Director and past president of East Ohio Conference UMW. Please do not plan any meetings or activities on these dates. Plan to be at Friday night's program, "a Night to Remember." Tuscarawas District UMW will be hosting the 2012 Annual Celebration. We need to have a BIG turnout for the 2011 event so we know what's ahead as we plan to host our sisters from the 10 East Ohio Conference Districts next October! Watch for more information - in the meantime put the Annual Celebration on your calendar: save October 28 and 29! Event Registration Form: Can be found in the August-September 2011 issue of “It’s A New Day” on pages identified as Addendum A-1 and A-2. Reading Program We now have 5 categories (instead for four) in which to read in: * Education for Mission * Leadership Development * Nurturing for Community * Social Action * Spiritual Growth Plan I: 5 books per yr (1 per category) Plan II: 10 books per yr (2 per category) Plan III: 15 books per yr (2 per category plus 5 from any category) Plan IV: 20 books per yr (2 per category plus 10 from any category) Selections can be from the 2008-2012 lists plus regular reading of Response and New World Outlook magazines. 2011 United Methodist Women
